Interesting facts Phalaenopsis belongs to the orchid family and originates from the tropical rainforests of south-east Asia and northern Australia. The plants there grow high up in the trees and plants. They retrieve water from the air through their roots. At the nursery, Phalaenopsis is propagated in a transparent pot, allowing light to reach the roots as also happens in the natural environment. For this reason, it is also a good idea to keep your Phalaenopsis in a clear glass vase. Orchids have been prized for centuries for their exceptional flowers.
