Cultivation
In order to thoroughly understand how the Gas-Free Greenhouse works, you really need to see it in action. However, we are going to try to explain it as well as possible. The innovation lies not only in the fact that groundwater is pumped from three warm wells and three cool wells, but also in the system of heat exchange within the greenhouse. At the same time the heat/cold pump plays an important part in all of this.
Phalaenopsis is a crop that must be heated and cooled. During the initial vegetative phase, it has to be 28 degrees Celsius, during the cooler second phase (spike induction) 19 degrees, and during finishing it must average 21 degrees. In the Gas-Free Greenhouse we can both heat and cool using relatively little energy. Cooling is where we save the most energy. Standard refrigerators use on average nine watts per square metre per hour, while we attain the same results with just one watt
